Ripoff - do not send them money

I received a letter from this company demanding payment for a NSF check that was written in 2000. I told the Agent/Manager that I did not know anything about this. I asked them for documentation, and was told all they could give me was the amount I supposedly owed and the date it was written. They could not give me any bank information, and since I did not write the check I had nothing.

I was threatened with being prosecuted by the manger Bill Frances; he stated that if he did not hear back from me within 24 hours with payment, he would send the information to the local prosecutor.

I immediately contacted my attorney, who has tried several times to contact Bill. Bill has been conveniently out of the office when my attorney has called on three separate occasions, and he has not returned any of her calls. My attorney called the next day and the office message stated they were close for the day. My attorney immediately called back, from a different number and someone picked up the phone. I guess they have caller ID..

My attorney has sent them a letter and we will wait to hear back from them.in the meantime, I have filed complaints with the appropriate government agency.
