Antique Consignment
Marie Dennis, Joyce Di Vita Disappeared with my antiques

Contacted by Marie Dennis of Antique Consignment store after trying to sell some antiques through estate agency. Offered to sell items for me. Receivedestimate from her, which we would split. Never heard from her again. Phone # she gave me was not working.

Returned to store on Vermont Street to find it shuttered. Neighoring businesses in that building said that they get inquiries all the time by alarmed consignors. One of them gave me the name of the owner of building, Joyce DiVita, who they said is also Marie Dennis' mother.

Joyce claimed not to know anything about it when I phoned her. Wouldn't even confirm that she was Marie's mother.

Looked up business at better business bureau and found five complaints against it that had not been responded to.

Looked up usacomplaints.com and found one other complaint against Antique Consignment/Marie Dennis.

I would encourage any consignors to avoid Antique Consignment and Marie Dennis as, from her disappearance and the complaints against her, she appears to be a seriel scam artist.
