Axia College
Total Disappointment. Ripoff

I felt really bad until I read the other e-mails about Axia College. I don't feel so alone. I, too, entered their program with a lot of expectations. I was the "poster girl" for their college with friends and family.

I started the Criminal Justice in June. The first nine weeks were great. The advisor and faculty seems so kind and understanding. They would call on a weekly basis or leave messages for me, constantly uplifting and encouraging.

I applied for a government student loan and I got the loan. When I received a bill, my counselor told me to ignore it; that not everyone was on the same page. I was told that the loan could not be sent to me personally, but would be sent to the school. I was also told that any monies not used would be returned to me or put towards the next block of classes. I have ADHD so I applied for their program on learning disorders and sent in all the doctor reports. It was a go.

The first nine weeks were great. I did notice that the employees were replaced a lot. I was told my the advisor that the college was doing so great that there were many promotions.

During the second block, the "new" school advisor called and I was helped choosing the classes I would be expected to take.

I enjoyed many of the classes and I got A's and B's. Then, the fourth block came and all my troubles started.
The algebra class was difficult and I could not keep up. I informed the teacher that I was on the ADHD program, but guess what? She did not care and when I called the disability advisor, I found out that all my paperwork and notices from the doctors were gone. I informed the advisors that I was dropping the class until a later time. The teacher never received the notice, evidently, and I was informed I would have to repeat the class and take the money out of my own pocket. The advisor (now a new advisor) told me that I shouldn't worry about it.

Just continue on. I had to apply for another loan, only my new financial advisor did not know how to do it and I had to walk him through the steps. I told him I was receiving notices of monies that I owed the college. Not to worry. He said he would take care of the situation. I started to get worried because now I owed them $1900. He e-mailed me and told me I was to ignore all notices. My loans were being processed and would be ready in a couple of weeks.

Well, guess what? The whole staff was promoted and no one can be found. I received a notice that I would be sent to collections by the new financial advisor. My classes have been suspended. I called the new financial advisor who is now gone and left a message that I would not pay it and that I would inform anyone and everyone of their practices. You are the first.
