Ripoff Complete Waste of Money & Time

I attended the Robert Shemin Real Estate Seminar in Toronto from April 27th to 29th. It was a complete was of time. Mr. Shemin had confirmed that he was going to be at the training session and that his "All Canadian Team" would be there to present "Canadian" material.

Mr. Shemin wasn't there and the only member of his "team" that was Canadian was the speaker, Mr. Paul Young. A well versed public speaker and salesman. The rest of the training team were from the US. They had no clue on how to do real estate business in Canada.

The whole thing was a scam to sell more training. The forst day, they had us calling our Credit Card companies to increase our credit limits... Of course so that we had more money to later invest in there "Millionaire bootcamps" that retailed from 9K to 30K. The whole week-end was a never ending infomercial. I got more info out of my "Flipping houses for Dummies" book I paid $14 than this 3 day training.

Mr. Young lost half his class when a young woman (Sunday morning) finally spoke up and advised him we hadn't learned much in 2 days and that we should cut the personal stories and move on to the more meaty content before time ran out. He treated her like dirt and very disrespectfully ignored her and even got his "goons" to try and remove her from the location. Not only did she not budge but a few of the guys attending the seminar came to her aid and the "goons" backed off. At that moment, all of us realized what they were there for. To make more money selling.

I doubt that this group will be coming back to Toronto as I strongly feel that they realized that Canadians aren't likely to be easily pushed around and aren't as gullable as their US clients. After the incident with that young woman, Mr. Young spent 2 hours trying to recapture the hearts of 1/2 the room that was left and went on and on about his "sob stories" in order to get back his selling group.

I left at that point because I felt it was a waste of time. I hadn't paid for the training session so I didn't feel bad about it and I met fine people during the week-end but I was mortified at seeing some people actually believe this man and "fork over" thousands of their hard earned money in order to participate in this "Millionaire bootcamp". How do these people live with themselves when they know what a scam they are being.

The Robert Shemin's of the world and all of their "team" members should be banned from ever coming into Canada! They shouldn't be allowed in and be allowed to "FOOL" our people. Shame on all of you!
