Ten thousand dollars for a folder of companys who might be intrested in my invention, cant get my money back. Ripoff

I was contacted by ip&r about a patent i had obtained in 2000. They sent me all there information about there company and i taught the seemed very reputable.

I traveled to san francisco from boston to meet one of the directors aj gupta. There he talked up my patent very much so and convinced me we were on a winner. While there i agreed to pay ten thousand dollars and to give ip&r a percentage of the royalties, which was fine if they got a deal.

We shook hands like best friends and i returned home very pleased. For the next few months i got leters to say things were going well, but they wanted more money to send there staff to trade shows. At this point i was not parting with any more money and told them so. I recieved a folder of possible companys who might be intrested in my patent.
That was all i got from ip&r.

After about nine months i recieved an e-mail stating that they believe there was allready another patent simular to mine filed in the united states and they could not continue.

When i asked about my money, they informed me, that most of that was used for research for my patent. After that i still cant get any one to talk to me from that office.
I have called on several ocaisons and numerious e-mails to no effect.

Now i dont mind paying for some of there services, but ten thousand for a few letters and a folder with company names who might be intrested! I think is a bit rich.
I hope this report finds someone who can help me, or a least protect any one else from falling for the same trap i did
