CCA First National Merchant Card
Is a consumer fraud ripoff

Hopefully I was saved from CCA before I lost too much money... I received a phone call before my vacation last week about getting a card AND recieving free flying vouchers to the tune of 1000 dollars. I was also under the impression that this was for an unsecured Visa credit card. But, I was wrong. I received the card today to find out that it is a merchant only card with a $299 membership fee. This is not the product I thought I was subscribing to so I tried to call and cancel it. No answer. I called another number, they are gone for the evening. So I started to do some investigating and I found this website with many complaints about First National Card and their misleading telemarketing. I am hoping to still qualify for the refund on my $29.95 and I will not be activating the card. Furthermore, I will talk to my bank about preventing any further transactions such as the membership fees. I am hoping that I will be able to call and cancel tomorrow during the limited business hours of this company. I am just feeling really used and mislead. From now on, I will ask if it is an actual Visa or Mastercard AND can I have a website so I can check the company out before agreeing to anything. KirstenSan Jose, California
