Wilshire Credit Corporation
Stolen House because of "Response Time" and No Customer Service

Education & Science

Wilshire Credit Corporation is the servicing company for my second trust deed lein holder. They have been a very difficult company to work with, I mean the individuals that work for the company.

I am self employed, and some of my payments are made to me by the state of California. Earlier this year, many of my checks were almost 4-months late, which cause me to get behind in some of my mortgage payments. This was stressed to all my mortgages companies including Wilshire Credit Corporation. I explained that as soon as the checks come in I'd be paying and catching up.

When I called and spoke with one of representatives by the name of Juan on May 30 I explained to him the problem and I wanted to catch up the mortgage. I explained that at this point I'd prefer trying a work out plan, because I was falling behind on everything. He said that's find, by the way I called him bacause he sent me a post card stating he wanted to help.

Our next phone call took place in early June. Juan was very rude, not the same person I spoke to a few days ago and claimed that he could no longer help me. This was when my mortgage was $4900.28. I explained to him that before losing arguing with you regarding a workout plan, I would send the $4900.28. Since every other creditor was working with me pretty fairly, I was willing to do this. He said, "Don't send us anything we will only send it back to you." The conversation ended on that note. A few days later I called again, he transferred me to a rep by the name of Donna.

Donna would never answer my calls or messages left on her voicemail. So, I called their operator and got Melissa, who said she'd try to help me because Donna was away for a while. I wasn't sure if it was maternity leave, vacation, or what. Because she had already been gone for over 2-weeks of my calls. I explained to Melissa what happened in the conversation with Juan and she said to fax a hardship package to her which included income info, bank statements, letter regarding why late, w2, and 2-years of tax. It cost me about $25 to do that, she claim she never got it. I then fe-expressed it to their office. I never got a response. I faxed it again she got nasty with me and started saying if you got the money to pay it just pay it. She said this because I said to Juan that I want to pay the $4900.28 because you guys are just too hard to deal with and I can work out something with my reasonable creditors. She even said, "I don't want to work on this, you can just pay it." Remember Juan telling me, don't pay we will just sent the money back to you...

By now the bill had went up about $1200 including attorney fee's. I asked why are you guys not considering my hardship package I sent in, I think they looked at my husband income and my income and became demanding about what they thought we should be able to do. The thing is we had to catch up a lot of bills because of this shortage in pay I was getting from the state.

So, I contacting one of the foreclosure negotiator's. They all made promises, but I stuck with this one guy because he didn't want money up front he wanted to resolve the problem first. He got a quick resolution from my first mortgage company, and Wilshire Credit Corporation... They did the same thing to him they did to me. The prolong, they ignored, they claimed they didn't recieve certain documents, he sent them again and again just like I did.

He called me with all the plans he had worked out with my first mortgage company, and he was working on something with my other house even though it was most important for us to keep the house we were living in.

Now, he got involved in July after I tried for almost two months to get them to respond. They even lied and told him we had plently of time because it was not schedule to forclose until Oct. Well, that was a lie! I found that it was september. We were getting information to the first, and Donna told the guy who was helping me the same thing that Melissa told me a little earlier and that was..."They didn't want to deal with doing a forbearance, they wanted me to just reinstate." Well, I told them that I will reinstate, but guess what? The fee's had went up almost two thousand more than before, so it again made it impossible.

We sent them bank statement proving that we had at least 50% for a forbearance plan, they even told my negotiating guy they would be willing to do a loan modification, but only if they knew what the first was doing. Well, my guy told them what the first was doing, but that wasn't good enough. We even though that because my husband was in military that we would fall under the Soldiers & Sailors relief Act, nothing stop them. It seemed like a witch hunt, I sware.

They wanted to foreclose on our house and they did. On September 18 they sold our house in a foreclosure sale. They sent their REO guy out to pay us to move and everything. My negotiating guy found us an attorney. But they were not really prepared for what was to come. One week before we got the attorney one of Wilshire Corporation REps called his name was Rudy. He wanted to change things and work out a deal, he went back into the earliest notes "Juan" and saw that something could have been worked out. I explained to him all the drama I had gone through with the reps of the company and I explained we had retained an attorney. One who was willing to take the case on contingency until she found out we couldn't use the Sailor's and Soldiers act. Rudy then dealt with our attorney.

For the next 2-3 months everything was fine, we got all the info they requested (by the way it was the same infor we sent and the negotitator had sent earlier this year). While in negotitiations, they decided to evict no reason, but Rudy said they are willing to talk to us if we got rid of the attorney.

We lost the house, our days are numbered, but if you see this company come up as a reputable company RUN FAST. They are hard pressed to make your life miserable, and cause you all the pain and agony they can.

I have checked everywhere, many people say that we have some claims including attorney's but these cases are hard for attorney's to take because, I guess it's not enough money involved. Honestly, I don't know but that's my guess.

My husband and I are both hard working, honest as we can be individuals, and Wilshire Credit Corportation has caused us to loose everything because of their unethical practices. I hope this never happens to anyone else.
