Payment Center Bogus Sweepstakes Promise of Money, Money, Money ripoff

Letter is addressed from Canada. Once open the heading reads "H & H Tube & Manufacturing Co. "Payment Center" with a address listed as 108 Garfield Street, Vanderbilt, MI 49795.

The Business is legit as well as the address, but reference to the payment center is not legite. The number to be called to the claim center cant be traced to anyone or any business.

The Bank on the check and the account are real but the funds aren't there. So if you cash the check in my case the amount was $9,850.00 with a second check to follow. The first check a portion would go to cover surcharges and administrative fees. Cash that check and I would have been -10,000 in the whole.

The letter starts off as Re: Award Claim Notification. Secondary Category Winner with a batch winning number.

When I called to chew their butts out the person is like let me talk to your bank manager and i can verify that the check is legite — darn he's a good lier. I am a single mom and would have been easy prey to this scam but I know you don't get something for nothing. Especially since I haven't entered into any sweepstakes with the addresses mentioned in the letter. I could have really used that money to buy christmas presents for my son.
