CBS News does report on Zombie Debt ripoff

I received a notice from Palisades Collection for an erroneous debt for $507.08 from 1991 for Household Bank. I have a perfect credit rating and never had a debt with Household Bank. I went to your web site and followed some advice. Filed a report with the F.T.C. And Calif. Atty. General's office. I also sent Palisades a "CEASE COMMUNICATION" letter in which they sent me another letter showing the debt AND my social security number which was scary.

My credit report is clean, but I'm concerned how they are able to get at our credit reports? I contacted my local news and they interviewed me.
