Ripoff stole $299.97 from us a low middle class family promised it back for 3 months still no money told me to get outside help

We got a green card in the mail telling us we were pre approved for a government grant of at least $5,000.00. Well when we called it was going to cost us $299.97 to get what we needed to get the grant, thay said we would get our paperwork in 15 days.

15 days went by, nothing we called they said 30 days. 30 days went by, nothing. We called, we said just give us our money back they said fine 30 days. 30 days went by, nothing so we called they no 30 buisiness days call back in 2 weeks. Fine so we did that, and nothing. We called again they said well we refunded that 3 weeks ago, fax us your bank statements to prove you didn't get it then it will only take 2 days.

Well you guessed it 2 days went by, and nothing. We called again they got real crappy about it and said yea 2 days for an update and the update is call bake in 10 days. Well today was 10 days I called they said o well you will get it then the lady says well maybe you should get some outside help then. I said so you think I should get a lawyer she just repeated herself in saying get some outside help. Well we are a lower middle class family with 3 kids and an elderly disabled mother in our home how are we going to afford a lawyer. The lawer will cost $135.00 an hour. Can't we all get together and file a class action law suit? Help I just can't beleive that this is happening in america and they are using the government name to steal from good honest hard working middle class america.
