American Sweepstakes Publishers started sending me a letter a couple weeks ago stating that they are notifying me of a chance to win $254,204.00. Of course they requested what they considered to be a nominal fee of $12 be sent back along with my signature on the forms provided. Prior to this, I had entered several different sweepstakes so I initially thought it was legit and was more than happy to send the form back signed & with a money order for $12. However, I have received several more letters with forms attached stating I needed to sign and send another $12 fee. Needless to say the first time I sent the $12 fee was my last time. I concluded if I'm entitled to winnings from a sweepstake, I shouldn't have to pay. It's free to enter and if I'm selected I should get the money at no cost. However, had I sent the $12 fee everytime they requested, I would have given them over $60. This is definitely a rip-off. They can't promise you any money only false hope. Don't give your hard earn money away to people who are obviously scamming hard workers out of their money.
