Ripoff, fraudulant debit to account

Wow. I'm shocked to see 1469 reports on CIC Credit, and now make it 1470.

I was just balancing my checking account and saw a charge for $12.95 from CIC Credit Monitoring. Because I keep a tight hold on my finances, I knew immediately that I had been charged for something I did not order. I googled CIC Credit and found this site.

Here's what happened. About 10 days ago I hit freecreditreport.com. I get my annual free credit report every year. Ironically, last year I used this same site to get all three credit reports and was not charged at all. I attempted to get my credit report from Experian first. It never loaded, so I simply left the site and decided I'd try later. I never signed up for any service, I never requested any service, I never agreed to any charges and I was never informed there would be a charge - afterall... FREE credit report is the name of the site.

I have sent CIC an email demanding they refund my account immediately. I did try calling the number listed here on usacomplaints.com but they aren't open yet. I will call them in an hour when they open. If they refuse to refund the charge I will go to my bank. Thanks to usacomplaints.com I now know about ACH and will make full use of this to have the charge refunded.

Why hasn't anyone filed a class action lawsuit against this company?
