Ripoff personal loan scam only wants to take your money not loan money to you

I recieved a phone call today at approximately 2pm from Ms. Jones of United Capital Investments. Ms. Jones informed me that i was approved for a personal loan in the amount of $5000.00, but the lender is requesting that i send in $1000.00 for collateral. I informed ms. Jones that I would need until monday to gather the funds because at this time I thought it was a legitimate company. I did apply for a personal loan over the internet.

Ms. Jones then said she would be faxing me loan disclosure statements, which I never recieved. I called the 800 number back and Ms. Jones said that I should recieve the documents within ten minutes (what fax machine takes that long to fax). So I waited ten minutes and still received no fax.

I called the 800 number again and a young woman answered the phone. I asked her for the physical address of the company and she placed me on hold without saying anything. After about two minutes the phone call was disconnected. I tried calling back several times but no one would answer the phone.

Luckily I was smart enough to investigate this company before sending them $1000.00. Hopefully any future victims will read this report before falling victim to the scam of this company.
