RIPOFF, dishonest, fraudulent billing, contradicting themselves on phone, false advertising, attempted to use coersion but had to resort to fraudulent billing

We cancelled our website on or about April 17 which was well in advance of our 30-day trial. This was done via live chat and phone conversations with specifics on how it would create an overdraft because we did not have money in our account. The man I talked to tried to get us to get a coach, but I kept repeating that there's no money in the account and he finally said it was cancelled.

In May, $69.99 was taken out of our bank account. I called ispeedway and they said the site was never cancelled. We went to the bank and filled out the dispute form. Meanwhile, the supervisor, Mark, was saying they'd review the chat logs. If we were right, they'd return the $69.99 plus the $34 overdraft charges it caused if the bank didn't do it.

I read the history of my computer and pulled up the cancel my website page from April 17. On May 9 at 11:13: 02 the website was cancelled and the money was returned and the bank refunded the overdrafts.

June 1, the $69.99 is taken out again. I called Matt, another supervisor, after the regular phone answerers (Abe, for one) couldn't help me. He said we'd have to eat it because there's no record of the site being cancelled since I did not print out the chat log or record the phone conversations. When I told him that the site was cancelled already he said he could open it up for us.

Anyway, after a volley of "eat it" and "no, I will not" I turned it over to my husband who got the same response. We didn't cancel within 30 days so we'll have to pay 5 months of $69.99.

This is ridiculous! They conveniently lost all their chat logs and records til after the 30 day trial??? They said the May cancellation was only because I called and complained. Gee, those records exist. Makes no sense whatsoever. So, now, print and record everything you do. And remember any good lawyer buddies you may have.
