Ripoff, scam, deceptive Miami

My rebate (2 items totaling $45, was "denied" - each for not meeting certain requirements: "We are unable to process your rebate due to not sending multiple rebates in separate envelopes..." The rebate submission form states... And I quote..."2. Enclose all documents. Attach all the required proof of purchase documentation to the rebate form. Put everything in an envelope." Put everything in an envelope is NOT the same as put each submission in a separate envelope.

My second rebate was also denied for not containing the UPC code... I retained the cardboard liner from the packaging from which I tore the UPC Code. I know the code was enclosed.

I can understand the need to follow rules, considering the enormous volume I believe OnRebate is likely handling. However, when forms are (very likely) deliberatly misworded to trap someone into slipping up (in the hope that they can deny a rebate); that company is dishonest and perpetrating a scam.

I need to point-out also, that OnRebate does not follow their own promises (they did NOT send an email reply within 24 as promised, to supply the required confirmation # - I had to track it down myself via phone after waiting a full week. And, they did not respond within their stated 1-2 weeks "to receive an update to your status" as they say on the mail-in rebate form -it took 3 weeks).

I submitted all the required information as stated in their own literature - I don't believe a "penalty" of $45 is acceptable.

I would advise anyone looking at a product requiring a mail-in rebate research where the rebate will come from... If it is through OnRebate.com, I would keep looking.
