Ripoff

I am writing to state that I have been ripped off by "The Rich Owens Group." I had the misfortune of moving to the Los Angeles area last year with this man and a group of other actors. The group was not prepared to move and were broke. I had some money from my retirement for Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis and I had a meeting with Mr. Owens (he seems to change his last name a lot) and gave me a sad story about needing money. I really use to care for this man, so I agree. The original loan was for $2,000. A few weeks later, he said that he wanted $8,000 more dollars. I agreed and became part owner of his company. Part of the agreement with this company, was that I was to receive 25% of what Mr. Owens made in commissions. Many of Mr. Owens clients (I was unfortionally one of those) booked jobs, but Mr. Owens has yet to pay me.

Around February of one of Mr. Owens client decided that he had enough and decided to leave the group. I considered going with this client at that time, but I really wanted to see if I was going to get my money, despite the fact that I was told by this client that Mr. Owens bashed me behind my back. He said things like Dan was not going to make it, despite the fact that I have done two movies, three music videos, a commerical. He never got me many auditions either. I registered with nowcasting and eventually got involved with lacasting and managed to get auditions on my own, so what good is this man. Around July of I was considering leaving LA. There was nothing going on and I was not happy staying with Rich. One of the original group members went back to Indiana to school and I really did not want to stay in that apartment with him and his step son, so around August, I got this opportunity to move out. I decided to take it. Mr. Owens went crazy and screamed that I was not going to get my $10,000 back. He seems to forget that without my money, he would not of been out in California that long. Besides me, he's taken advantage of other people like a woman, who took photos for his clients and he refused to pay her. If he's taken advantage of people like me, imagine what he'd do to his client.
