Promises and a ripoff company

My son was contacted today (he is a college student), and informed by the representitive that he was an employee of the Federal Government and he was called to offer him some sort of grant. He ask my son for his account #. My son ask for a call back # and was given an 800 #. He called me and informed me about this so when Mike called him back to get his account # my son gave him my phone #. He told me that my son had been selected for a consumer loan and that between 9,000 and 12,500 would be deposited into his bank account between 2-3 days. I refused to give Mike that information as he informed me that it would be a $49.40 charge once the money was put into the account. After applying enough pressure to Mike he eventually hung up. I would just like to inform other consumers of the scams that are going on. It was because other consumers who had been ripped off shared their experience that I know that this company and all these promises is a rip off. Thank you for this website it kept me from revealing my information and becoming another victim.
