My account with this company is right at one month old. I opened this account in the hopes of increasing my credit rating as I am buying a new home and am closing on Dec 13 05. I got my first bill which had a minimum payment of 20 dollars due on 10/31/05 which I sent and they did not get the payment in time and after 4 days after the due date they turned it over to the credit report as a late payment.

I got a call from one of there reps telling me that my account was in collections and that I had to give him a payment of 150 dollars right then and he would remove the late fees. I told him no that this is incorrect that my account was only one month old and that my payment of 20 dollars was sent and he said it was not posted and that I was charged a 25 dollar late fee, they charged me a 6.75 monthly membership fee that put my account over the limit according to him and there was another 25 dollar fee for that.

I got off the phone with this person, pulled out my paper work and called back and got a supervisor who told me that my account was indeed late but was not sent to the credit report as 30 days past due but was late? I was also told that the 6.75 monthly fee was being charged so they could report information to the credit bureau. The rep said to me that she would remove the late fees and over the limit fees and that I would be getting another bill in the mail stating that I owed 75 dollars and that I only needed to pay 55??

I tried to explain to her that that would not be correct either that My minimum payment was 20 dollars so how was she getting 55, she could not answer that. I also told her that they had sent this to the credit bureau as a late payment but that amount was 71 dollars? And she said that I would have to file a complaint with the bureau that they had reported it wrong that it was not 30 days past due?

This company is a rip-off BIGTIME everyone beware and if there is anyone that wants to start a class action lawsuit please let me know I will be right there.
