Rude, offensive harrassment for debt that was never mine!

Oh boy, where to begin! I received a phone call from 'Will' on my answering machine. He was looking for my EX husband. So I called him back to find out where he got MY phone number as my EX husband has NEVER lived here and infact, my name is not on this phone number.

I asked 'Will' to tell me where he got my phone number. He said 'we have it here'. I asked if it was on a piece of paperwork, he said yes. I asked for a copy, he said no.'Why not?' 'Because I said so' What???!!!'Can I speak to your boss?'

'NO'... I asked several more times to which he finally replied 'I'm my boss hahaha (yes, he did laugh), you wanna talk to the boss? I'm the boss' I should add that he must have had me on speaker phone because I could hear a woman laughing in the background. When I commented 'the laughter is a nice touch' he replied 'you like that hahaha'

A few more highlights...
When I asked him why he was calling he replied by yelling over and over 'do you have his number?! Do you have his number?! Do you have his number?!'
Another of his reponses to my request for how and why he had my number was 'well I have it here so I'm going to keep calling'

Which would be a collosal waste of time since not only am I not married to the 'debtor' but all of his 'debt' was accumulated AFTER we divorced.

Finally, he hung up on me. When I called this morning to the number that showed up on my caller ID, I got another rude person who would not tell me the name of the company. When I told him I talked to 'Will' he said they were CDC (which matched Will's name he gave me) and transferred me to Will's line. It is extremely difficult to find this company, I did quite a bit of searching to finally find some contact information. They are bullies and completely unprofessional.

I plan to send them a letter as well, but I'm fairly certain it will fall on deaf ears... It's bad enough when you have debt, but to be harrassed for SOMEONE else's is unbelievably frustrating...
