This report is long overdue and based on research from the inception of this guinea pig program started at sdsu by certaing college profesors. Here's the back story:
In the fall of 1993 I believe if my memory serves me correctly, the accounting dept decided to make some drastic changes in their couse curriculm. The dept wanted to make fewer classes for students but combined certain disciples together to make it faster for students to graduate. For example, they would take a basic accounting class and combine it with computer systems, auditing, tax preparation and so forth; in a nutshell, the students would have to invest more money, time, and energy into one class. Seemed like a good idea on paper but the first year in the making more than 98% of the students surveyed were very disappointed in the new curriculum. The students tried to voice their concerns to the profesors with no help. Profesor Cappetini was an instructor for this new program but he received low marks for student research at the time as one of the worst teachers on campus as reported by a campus newsletter, " the Cultbusters".

Over the years the research continued and this program has continued to recive low evaluation marks by students. Some students have totally dropped out of the program while others have found it nearly impossible to pass the class. When the average student is getting a 57% on their midterms this is considered a passing grade with the curve involved. As a former student myself, this is not teaching. Profesor Cappetini and his clones should step down as profesors from this university if they cannot teach properly and the old class curruculum should be reinstated immediately. Each year there is some report that comes out saying San Diego State has one of the best business programs in the nation. However these findings seeem to be rather superficial and subjective.
