A lady called and said her name was Cindy Jones, she had a heavy accent. She said she was calling because my name had been selected to receive a governemnt grant for $12,500. She said the grant did not have to be paid back and that along with the grant I would receive, a $500 gift card, an unlimited calling card to be used for 10 days only and medical benefits for me and my entire family. However, there was a processing fee of $49.95 which could be deducted from the $12,500 and this way it would be no out of pocket expense for me, unless I chose to continue receiving benefits after 1 year. She explained that the money would be deposited in my account by Wednesday, because Monday was a holiday and that someone would have to be at home on Tuesday to receive an important packet with information that I would have to complete and return immediately. I asked how was the package coming and why would someone have to be home and her answer was FedEx and they will not leave it unless someone is present, to sign for it. She then asked for my bank account information. I told her that I can not give out my personal information without her answering some questions and confirming what she was telling me. Then she started repeating everything she said and gave me an access code #, along with their company website and physical address and her managers name. I kept her on the phone to pull up the website and of course, I could not find it. When I told her that it was not coming up, she said, I must be entering the information incorrectly. Then she gave the phone to her manager who was a man named Michael Garcia and he said he was a Federal Government agent, badge # 43410. I asked him, if this information is legitimate, then why can I not find the website? His response was, the website is only accessible to clients who have accepted the grants. I then told him that I would have to call back after I confirm the information and he said, it would not be possible, because today was Sunday and that the office is closed and the only reason they are calling me today is because they have to get the word out to the recipients before the deadline, which he could not tell me the deadline date. I then asked for the mailing address and a number to call back on Tuesday, when the office opens and he gave me the following:

Advantage America
Governemnt Grant Processing Center
2431 Aloma Avenue
Suite 158
Winter Park, Florida 32792
1-866-503-7345

Then he said that I needed to take advantage of this opportunity right now, because this was free money to help strt a smak business, re-establish credit, pay off bills or improve on my home. While he was on the phone, I called the number from my cell phone and the recording said, "Thank you for calling, our offices are presently closed. We will be open between the hours of 9AM - 5PM, EST, Monday - Friday. Please call back then." They do not give the name of the company, it is just a generic message. After calling, I asked more questions and he said, you know what, you have many many questions and what is best for you is to call back when the office is open and speak to my supervisor. We will give you a call back on Tuesday and process your information at that time. I hung up and continued to look for the website and this is how I found consumer complaints.com and thank you, because these people are fast talkers and they do not want you to ask questions and they do not give answers. Be Aware!
