Ripoff, fraudulent billing

This past month I purchased a free (S&H only) supplement from this company. The very next day I thought better of this purchase and contacted their cancellation department. I was allowed to cancel this enrollment and given a confirmation # which I still have. One month later, my wife notices that my bank card was charged an additional $24 by Ultra Life Fitness.

Upon calling customer service and attempting to have this charge removed, I was informed that there was nothing that could be done by one of the rudest customer service reps (John) I've ever had the displeasure of talking to. Shortly thereafter, I called back a second time to speak with a supervisor only to find out that John was the suoervisor.

I was then advised to call back the next day and ask for yet another supervisor. During the course of the third call (the next day) I was once again told that nothing could be done to remove the charge from my bank card, because I didn't follow proper procedure when I originally called to cancel this enrollment.

I was then informed that I neglected to access the web site to complete the enrollment cancellation process. I tried to explain that I was never informed to do so by the rep. I spoke with originally.

Finally (as a last straw), I was informed by the customer service rep. That it wasn't their responsibility to inform me. I then told this young lady that I would be filing a formal complaint as well as disputing this charge at my local bank. She actually encouraged me, stating she'd do the same thing if she were to be in my position (implying she was aware of the problems with their billing department).

Long story short: I purchased a supplement, cancelled the very next day and was charged for a service I never received. Talk about buyer-beware!
