Tried to obtain bank account information, grant scam

Lisa Francis, representative (ID# 530) called me several times over the past few days to verify my home address and let me know I was entitled to $12,500 in government grant money because I have paid taxes in the past five years. She wanted me to verbally approve a $49.95 transfer to cover the processing so I could receive the money in a timely manner.

I was reluctant and she said they would be sending me $500 worth of grocery coupons. When I asked if they could just mail a check to me, since they already knew my home address, she told me no. So, I told her I don't do money transactions verbally over the phone.

I googled Advantage America while she was still on the phone and told her I don't believe the benefits are real. She got frustrated and told me she had other grant beneficiaries to process and gave me a number to call. 866-503-7345 I haven't tried it, but she said the customer service line closes at 5 Eastern.
