Ripoff or just illegal solicitation

I am not yet a legal resident here in the US.
My papers have been filed and I await approval.
But still N.M.E. Can contact me from a mailing list.
I have no credit card, no bank account, no Social Security number nor do I have any credit history in this country.
They state on their Postcard that they have ben trying to reach me, how? By what means did they try to reach me?
They obviously had my address all along as I managed to receive their Postcard without any difficulty.
Does this Pat Haines even exist as a ral employee of that company?
I had the semse to investigate this company before even considering to make that call they requested.
Someone should consider shutting these people down and outlawing the use of unsolicted mail and suspected scams such as this.
If they got my name and address from a mailing list, could I please be informed as to how my details were made known to them?
As 'employees' of this company seem to respond to these claims, could one of you please ask your supervisors or managers as to where they get their mailing lists?
