This company is fraudulant and they completely rip off poets! Owing

I hear everyone say that you can post your poems online at www.poetry.com. This site is good and they have many contests! TRUTH of the matter they send everyone who sends in a poem gets a certificate of appreciation or certificate of editor's choice award. Along with a letter that says, you are a winner (maybe). I know because I have at least five friends who sent in poems and received the same thing I did.

Oh it gets better/or worse depending on how you look at it. They emailed me and said, "Your poem is in the finalist category!" You can be a winner but only if you attend our convention, which by the way cost about $500 (a person). YOU WON'T WIN ANYTHING UNLESS YOU ATTEND! Please attend our convention and let famous people and other poets will hear your great work, they will in turn help you further your work in writing poetry.

You could be a winner of part of the $60,000 award. But let me tell you now, you have won a silver bowl award for your great work. You can see it online, check it out! The catch is you cannot have that reward unless you pay for it. SOME reward, you should not have to pay for any awards!

These people should be taken offline and taken to court. I have yet to see anyone who has actually won. I see responses on here that says I won, but actual proof ie) pic of said award or check.

Be wary of trusting a wolf in sheep's clothing.
