Ripped me off stole my money ripoff

I too was contacted by the director of whatever the he* it is he does - one of the many directors of business development/new products/business ideas bla bla etc etc. To cut a long story short, I was conned just like many others, however mine was for a significant sum of money! I normally consider myself an astute businessman, however I too found myself being lured in by their cunning and "informative" sales pitches!

My problem came when I refused to listen to the usual bulls*, and just asked for a final figure that it would cost - 2000. This sounded very strange as this was to apparently cover only the cost of initial marketing (an exact figure will ring a funny bone in anyone who has had involvement in the industry!) I paid this amount and was told thereafter that customer acquisition reports and forecasts had shown that this was definately a marketable product. So I paid the remaining 9800 required to develop the prototype and put together a marketing plan, used to approach corporations in the hope of securing a deal. All went well apparently, and one company in particular were ready "to take it to the next level." Sounded great!!!

What most people do not realise is this is a very reasonable figure for product development, through all stages! So I paid the last "investment" to Davison - 6200. We now apparently had a fantastic product that was going to make my son (whose name this was registered in) a fortune! I felt happy and full of self fulfillment. One problem - we were nearly a year through and still I had not received a prototype of my product, which was apparently already in the production process of a huge organisation. I also had not received patent forms to fill out. When I called "Brian", he re-assured me that all of the "nitty-gritty" had been taken care of by Davison on my behalf (without my permission).in other words, whoever had signed the patent, had forged my signature, used a false name, used his own name, used somebody elses name, or just not done it at all! My lawyer tells me this is prosecutable!

All in all, this process cost me personally 18000 (approximately $34,359.69). Naturally I was unhappy and could not get a straight answer out of this prick, so I proceeded to do some research on the company and came across this and other websites, confirming my deepest fears! The money was not an issue to me and that was possibly my biggest downfall. Had I have been more concerned, I could have saved myself the loss. Had I been more assertive and probing, I could possibly have saved myself a tidy sum. BUT - what Davison and "Brian" do not realise, is that working for a telecommunications company means that at the push of a button, I can record any calls from my land-line. I have also recorded all calls from my mobile phone and now have the damning evidence to put these thieving assholes out of business. Anyone who has been a victim of this type of crime should stand up and make yourself noticed!

And remember - you can always try claim personal damages from the company before they liquidate ie: financial damage, mental damage, marital damage etc. SPEAK TO A LAWYER! Thats exactly what I have done, and I will not rest until they are all behind bars!!!
