Scamming to leave you in dept for years to come

I would like to start by saying that I am so happy that someone decided to speak up and get the ball rolling on this school for taking advantage of unsuspecting people just trying to make a change for the better in their lives. I am one of these people. They actually lead you to believe they care at this school, when the only thing they care about is getting federal money for your body to be there and it is even better for them if you are a single parent with little or no income, as was I.

I was approached by one of BCTI's representatives at the Social Services Office in Everett, Washington less than a month after moving to the state from my current location. I thought that this was a oppertunity to better my life for myself and my child (not a ploy to get my federal funding and put me in dept for a very long time).

I am now a graduate of BCTI but had many concerns while attending. Some of these concerns include the fact that I saw people slacking off daily (not attending, being disruptive, ext.) and it concerned as I am a student that attended each and every day putting my all into every peice of work assigned, only to sit and watch as these people graduate with the same acredidation as myself for doing not near the same amount of work.

Another concern was after I had graduated Phase One of this school, I was pushed into going to Phase Two by being told that I would probably own my own business after graduation in the field of either web design or becoming a computer tech. And I would also recieve finacial help (as a boyfriend was paying all my bills at the time) with a state grant. To start, there is no way I could own a business with just the basics that they taught us (High school students are learning the same thing for free.) Nor could I work designing web sites by myself for myself, there was too much information that we were not given. We were taught nothing about Ecommerce sites (which most on the web are).

And finally I was never elegible for the state grant money they promised (I would have been if I left the school for two months and came back) and was never even given knowledge of it untill the month I graduated, which ulitmatly took part in destroying my relationship with my fiance at the time.

There is more but it would take all day. I do want to end by saying that fortunatly (unlike other students) I was able to get a good job in the state of which I live now of my own merit (nothing to do with BCTI) and have learned more in 9 months of working at a web design company than the entire time I was attending BCTI. Their phone calls to my job almost got me fired. I would like to accentuate that they did not have anything to do with me getting my current job. I was hired for my ability to learn fast and work hard.
