Ripoff Failed and Charged me for classes that I never sat in

I left Florida and taking on campus classes and moved to Texas and online classes to complete my MBA. During the move I went through bad times and my grades suffered. I went back to Florida in February to visit and take my laptop to ask the advice of the lab tech on why it wasn't working properly (this laptop was also provided by the school and charged to my FA) he told me to leave it with him and he would look at it. I went ahead and scheduled my classes for the April start. Before leaving for Texas I tried to locate this lab tech and he and my laptop were not to be found. I sent several emails to him, called him and left messages and tried to get him to just send it back to me so I could start the April quarter. Where I moved to here in Texas is a very small little town and the only internet access you have is your own. I had no computer now and was stuck.

In July I returned once more to find this lab tech and my computer. No luck. I visited while I was there and spoke with the dean and the president and left. When returning home I recieved a letter stating that I was dismissed and could not return to FMU to continue my degree. I immediately called and was not able to speak with anyone. I then received an invoice telling me that I owed $4900 for classes that I had taken. (Which I hadn't)

It is now February and I still have no laptop, I have contacted the school on a breakdown of the costs I have seemed to occur since I never sat in class or purchased books and I have yet to see that. I went as far as contacting the corporate office in CA and been told that they would look into it. NOthing. I now have a folder with approx. 50 pages of emails where I have tried to get help or at least an understanding.

I contacted the BBB and received a letter yesterday in which the President of the college responded very negetively about me and my want and ability to repay their loan and that the balance and the grades stand as is. I wrote her a letter a few months asking for help and never received it. I also told her that I was not giving up as easily as others had. I worked there for 3 years and I saw alot of peoples dreams flushed because of little issues like this. Maybe it isn't the school as a whole fault that this happen to me, but it is an employee of the school that took and kept my laptop unableing me to complete my classes.

On another note, FA was sent in to cover these classes I was charged for. I went to the FAFSA site and only 1/2 of it was sent back. I wonder what happen to the other half?
