After 30 years of purchasing and relying upon Knapp shoes for their American quality and reliability my last order arrived and what I took from the box was made in China garbage!

The directorship of Iron Age Knapp Shoes has made a conscious decision to export the labor and materials in the creation of the Knapp shoe product for obvious bottom line profit gains.

Are they attempting to bolster quarterly and year end profits and increase the perceived value of the company making it more desirable when they put it up for sale and sell out everyone like so many other raiders of good companies? This may be the situtaion however only time will tell.

You can rest assured the directorship stands to gain millions in incentives and golden parachutes upon a sale while the people that used to make the shoes won't get a red cent for their decades of effort!!!

When their customer service line was called about this situation the on hold wait time to get to a human being was in excess of 23 minutes and when I did speak with someone they stated there was nothing they could do for me to purchase a made in America shoe from Knapp / Iron Age like before.

I hope this information causes Iron Age directorship a thousand times the pain each one of their out of work employees en mass are feeling now and in the future!!!
