My experience with US CAREER Institute has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel obligated to warn others before they waste their time and money like I did.
When I enrolled, I was led to believe I’d earn a respected, accredited degree that employers would recognize and that I could transfer to legitimate colleges. The reality? This school is essentially a scam.
Here’s the truth:
Their so-called “accreditation” is not the same as regional accreditation, which is the gold standard in higher education. AND they've shut down other schools leaving students and employees stranded. Not good! If they shut down again- your schooling is worthless. They were Heritage college. McKinley and some others that NO LONGER EXIST!!!!
Credits earned here are essentially worthless. Reputable, regionally accredited colleges will not accept them.
After investing countless hours and significant money, I’m left with a degree that holds no real value in the job market or for further education.
If you’re considering your options, I urge you to research what proper accreditation means. Start with the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) (www.chea.org) and the U.S. Department of Education’s Accreditation Page (www.ed.gov/accreditation). These resources clearly explain why regional accreditation matters and why “national accreditation” (like US CAREER Institute has) is a much lower standard that will limit your opportunities.
Bottom line: If you care about your future, avoid US CAREER Institute at all costs. Do not be misled by their deceptive promises. You deserve a degree that actually helps you advance your career—not one that wastes your potential.
