Education & Science

I received a notification letter from Sweepsteakes Clearinghouse in Dallas Texas informing me that I had been awarded a consolation prize in the $Ten Million Dollar Sweepstakes Clearinghouse Giveaway. I was surprised, for I had not entered the contest! I received a voucher for the sum of $300.00 to be applied toward the purchase of five different items, all susposedly valued well above the $300.00 prize money. There was an expiration date that was two weeks in the future. All on the up & up... Right! I checked several sites on the internet for the value of the prizes and each could be purchase for less than the price quoted by the clearinghouse. This is a rip-off!

If I had won a prize of $300.00 I should have been able to depposit the check in my bank account and spend it the way I want to.
