Ripoff totally scam fraudulent billing nationwide

I received an absurd billing (16.61 $) from OAN services by mail for signing up for their software called Privasafe which I NEVER did.

Since I live in a room in a house and the phone is in the name of the house owner, it made matters worse between him and me. He called them up and the people at OAN mentioned my name to him, saying that the bill was for me even though the bill was in his name!

More than the money, I am extremely worried about how these frauds got my name in the first place? How did they get my personal information? And how can I be assured that this is not going to happen again in the hands of another set of criminals? So how many strangers out there know about my personal information who can manipulate my life this way?

I don't even hold a credit card and the only place that knows about my personal information is my bank and my university.

I have no intention of falling prey to these people, but I also want to make sure that mine is the last rip off report about these frauds. This is a shame.

Something must be done before its too late.
