Ripoff, fraudulent, asking for title search money upfront making promises they refuse to keep

Advertised our timeshare on the internet with a company in Florida. Then one day, a company called Pro Marketing Group called saying they could sell the timeshare quickly... No strings. My husband and I looked into this... But not carefully enough I guess.

Here is how the thing worked. Jason from Pro Marketing said I had to pay $300 US up front to cover title search costs and administration fees. This money was to be sent to a US TITLE search company in Largo, Florida. I asked what is the hitch? He said no hitch. Once the TITLE company confirmed title search, they keep $100 of the fee and $200 was sent to Pro Marketing Group and that would be returned to me as a refund. The main money to be made was thru the buyer of the timeshare. So I accepted this explanation. I sent the money order to the address Jason gave me... US Titles, 2945 C East Bay Drive, Largo, Florida 33771. Once the money order was sent, I did not hear from Jason Scott again.

I phoned numerous times and never got answers back from Jason as to what was happening with the timeshare sale and so on. Months later, numerous messages, letters, emails, I finally get a hold of this guy by phone. He tells me that financially things were cancelled by me. I told him this is true because no financial information was approved by me on my accounts. I sent a money order to the TITLE company and it was cashed per my bank. I have a copy of the cashed bank draft as proof.

I informed Jason of this and he got stubborn and said they never received the money. I insisted they did as the money order was cashed and if search company was legite, they would be contacting Pro Marketing with the transaction information. He put me on hold promising to come back to me on the phone... Which he did not. I phoned back again and got the message machine. Thank goodness I didn't give permission for them to access my bank account.

Well you can see this is a problem. So now I am out #300 US cash and want my money back as I still own the timeshare and nothing was done to sell the timeshare. Am wondering if the buyer was real or made up now? Anyways, long story short don't pay any money up front and make sure documents and the banks and the companies involved are legitimate. As for fees up front with promise to refund, well the money can be taken once the final transaction has taken place thru the banks legally with the buyer and seller. Just like the transaction of buying/selling a house. My husband and I found out the hard way on this one. I am still going after this company and not sure if I will get my money back... But if I do, I will come back here to report my standings.

BEWARE of PRO MARKETING GROUP. They are unreliable and not trustworthy.
