Is a ripoff!

Dishonest and shady!!!

When my kitchen clogged I remembered I heard an ad for Rescue Rooter on the radio, "we'll come out and fix your pipes for just $97 bucks..." When I called, the dispatcher confirmed the offer and said he could have someone out in 30 minutes which sounded great.

When the guy got here it immediately turned into "oh, well that only apply's to this" and "oh, yeah, that's what it would have cost if you had that..."

To make a long story short, by the time the guy wrote up the estimate it was going to cost me $325 to unclog my sink. To make matters worse, even after the estimate was 3 times what it was quoted to me over the phone, the guy began trying to upsell me on more of their products!

After my initial state of shock I told the guy to take a hike and that I will just call someone else. It was just unbelievable to me to see a sizable company (or what seems to be anyways) embrace such fly-by-night tactics. I will NEVER call them again.
