Rip-off! My mobile home is falling apart, wet walls, flooring not what was promised

Construction & Repair

I left my husband in 2000. When I tried to get a loan to buy a house, I was told that we (me and my husband) had a house already and that this would be a second home. Since I had one in my name that my husband was living in, I would have to put forth a hefty deposit for the second house. I was on a limited funding and could not get the money for a house. I then checked into renting, too expensive with three children.

My last recourse was a mobile home. I then went to about ten mobile home lots and was told the same from them. Finally i went to Oakwood. They said they would get me in my own home for Christmas. I thought, what a nice present for my children. We could move out of my families house into their own rooms. I asked about the frame work under the trailer, "Was it stable?". The reply was it was the strongest and very stable.

I asked about the flooring. "What kind of flooring did the trailer have? I told him i did not like the particle board or pressed wood. His reply was" It is all definitely Plywood floors throughout. Let me show you. He then took me to the bathroom where the tub was and the wood work around the glamour bathtub was down. He showed me the wood was plywood. I asked about the siding. "Was the siding durable?" His reply was It's the best on the market!

Now this is what i have with my Oakwood mobile home manufactored in the year 2000! I recently changed out my flooring in the hallway for it has rotted due to the a/c unit having a manufactored defect in the drip pan. I recently found out that my trailer has a manufactored defect in the ventilation system. I have a problem called "wet walls". This means that the moisture in the air has no place to go, so it settles in the walls, which inturn makes the sheetrock soft in the summer.

My walls has also been changed about 6 mos.into buying this Money Pit because of the walls seperating from the wall beams. This causes a bowing effect. My roof has a sinking effect, slight but you can see it. Not leaking Yet! Because of my ventilation problem i now have a mold and mildew problem. To top all of this off the people i bought this trailer from has gone bankrupt... Does anyone know of anyone i can sue to get some justice with this problem. WILL ANYONE TAKE MY CASE???
Help me please!!
