HVAC stop working

My AC unit stop working. Guy comes out and sent the report to Home Protect and they denied the claim. Have not see the report. I called the claim department and they says that the condenser died and that the HVAC system has not
been regularly serviced so the damage was negligent and HomeProtect Home Warranty would not cover it. This unit is almost 26 yrs old. And was service more them twice because wasnt working right. But now that the system died they dont want to paid. What a ripoff!!!
