Ripoff - dishonest - unprofessional -wimpy-not loyal

This man, Gary, the owner, has started a deck for us and repeatedly made promises of start dates, and return to finish dates, never returned phone calls and literally non communative with us. The spects that he started and never finished are all wrong. He sent us a certified letter deciding he doesn't want to finish the job. We are left with a partial deck, if you call it that, and a loss of $1200 dollars of our money that he took and also, we had to pay for the lumber when it was delivered, which was suppose to be taken care of by him. Now we have someone come out that will finish this deck for us, he points out all the things done wrong and not in code, and needs more lumber than was delivered, and alot of the lumber needs to go back because it is cracked or warped. The lumber place will not take it back because it has been over 30 days since it was dropped and they inform us that the builder should have inspected it and called that day to tell them what peices were no good. Some of the joices (sp?) are cracked and this guy, Gary, already has hammered them in. They would never have been able to replace those. I think this could have been a dangerous deck to go on. We are very upset with this company.
