Windrift apartments oceanside California ripped off military kids with orders to Afganastan. Charged me $800 for replacing carpet that we never wore shoes on

I watched in shock an employee tell two young troops that had orders to Afghanistan that they could be released from their lease for a one month rent penalty and the two kids didn't know their rights according to the soldiers and sailors act. You can believe I went over and told them that they don't have to pay a dime. Later I found out that it's standard business for them to try that with all military leaving under government orders. As far as myself, in the lease, it states that if we do not sign a new lease when ours is expired that we are month to month and rent changes to "market value" and there is a convenience fee as well. OK but they got to be the ones to determine market value and it was inflated. My rent jumped from $1,800 to around $2,500!!! I'm right down the street now, in a 2200 sqft home, twice the size of the apartment, and I'm paying $2,100. Then the move out.

My wife is Asian and I have two daughters that are very docile.
