Ripoff Extremely poor quality, DON'T BUY FLEETWOOD PRODUCTS

I have lived in my Fleetwood home for 13 months and have nothing but problems. After reading the reports on this site and seeing similar problems, I was compelled to add my voice.

First, when I inspected the house to move in, the siding was warped and bulging in places. Fleetwood sent out a contractor who informed me that the stud between the windows of the maste bedroom was broken. He replaced the stud and several areas where the siding was warped. The second problem was the rear door comes open when there is a strong gust of wind. I have to keep this door dead bolted at all times. I late December, I thought I had a broken or frozen pipe that had broken. What had actually happened was the pipes under the secondary bath had separated.

When the dealer maintenance came out (very promptly), the man told me that there was no cement holding the pipes together. (Should I be concerned about the rest of the plumbing? You Bet!) He applied a glue and repaired the problem. I mentioned that the toilets backed up.

His response was there might be a piece of wood in the pipes from construction. Sometimes that happens. What the heck is that about?

In early spring I noticed that the ceiling over the kitchen sink was bulging and called the dealer. It seems the caulking around the air flow vents has cracked and had started to leak. He sealed all the vents and and slapped some putty on the spot. Evidently this is a common problem.

Most recently, after a heavy rain, I found a large pool of water in my kitchen where the vents are leaking again. To make matters worse, my ceiling has turned black in places which indicates a mold problem. Evidently, this has been leaking for awile.

I now will have to try to get the vent and my ceiling replaced. This is the worst home I have ever lived in and there are too many problems for a trailer thats only 13 months old. I have to continually tighten the plumbing under the sinks or they leak, the toilets will hardly flush and the ceiling is cracking in several places.

I purchased this home in hopes of living in it until I retire to save money but at this rate, it will cost me a fortune to keep it up.

I will never buy another Fleetwood product. Several people in my community have had similar problems and had a hard time getting Fleetwood to do anything about it. Be forewarned, If you are looking to purchase a mobile home, and its a Fleetwood, Think Twice.
