My wife and I were having problems with our hot water. We called a few plumbers and asked if they had FREE estimates. We chose Wolfe Plumbing on this fact. They told us on the phone that they do give FREE estimates. When the technician came, he inspected and said we need a new boiler system. He then gave my wife an invoice for the inspection/estimate for $54.
After I heard that she gave him a check I called Wolfe. They tell me that it was a service call and service calls are billable. This is an easy yet legal scam to do. How do you fight that? I am not taking them to court over $54. I will never call them again and recommend that no one else uses such a dishonest business.
