"not honoring their home warranty"

The homeowners are completely tired and dissatisfied with builders who will not up their end of the warranty. This is what is happening in our subdivision and we need help on how to go about getting a remedy. Please, please help!

We the homeowners currently purchased what was to be our dream homes in Cheryl's Cove subdivision which is located in Rex, Georgia. All of these homes were built by D & N Classic Home, Inc., a local builder. However, our dream homes are becoming our nightmare home. We have addressed our concerns
to the builder for repairs by leaving several telephone messages and in writing. The problem is the builder never calls back. There is no communication.

In almost every home, there are deficiencies and examples of poor
workmanship. Some of the deficiencies are: door can not be secured, bows in walls, nail pops, wall that can't be painted without repairs by owners, electrical wiring problems, cracked or split baseboards and door frames, bathrooms plumbing leaks and very sloppy drywall and painting jobs. There are many more, but too many too list.

The builder would like us to believe that we are trying to exaggerate the issue and serve only to needlessly alarm other homeowners. Nothing could be further from the truth. We have firsthand knowledge of this crisis in our homes, we are living it everyday.

We only want the builder (Ward) to be held responsible and accountable for his actions or lack of his attention to detail. Builders never feel repercussions for building defective housing due to code violations. What steps do we, as homeowners, need to take to have our dream? Please write us as soon possible due to the fact some homes are approaching their one-year
warranty deadline.
