Best Buy refused to refund me after I returne un opened chest freezer!

On 27th December I went to Best Buy #1762 to buy a chest freezer. My wife and I had wanted a new chest freezer and naturally visisted our neighborhood Best buy and found one freezer that suited our needs.

I returned to the store later and described to the sales associate the freezer I had seen earlier and he told me they had more at the back room. He brought out a new freezer and I checked it out and took it home.

Later when my wife returned from work, she figured out that the new freezer was smaller than what we had seen at the store. So we agreed to return it when both of us had the time so that we may exchange it with the bigger one we had seen. As fate would have it our work schedules kept us busy until last week on January 28th. We happily packed our freezer on our truck and headed back to Best Buy to exchange and buy a bigger freezer. The shock of our lives was when the customer service lady told us that our freezer was out of return policy. What! I told her the freezer was still in its box, unopened. The Customer service lady told me I should have read the back of the receipt and that it was one day past the policy. This lady told us to put the freezer up for sale on Craigslist. Just imagine! I told her I did not ask for advice and left. We later called and spoke to the store manager but too was adamant... No refund. We are stuck with a new freezer, too small for our home needs and yet Best Buy could not have it back.

I will never shop at Best But for anything if even if its offered for free. Buyer beware. This company will rip you off.
