DKO - Furniture Trading Company Stole money from me I put a down payment on furniture, got very sick, decided I could not purchase bed and the company refused to refund my money

I put a bed on/hold layaway and since have gotten very ill. I went to the company and requsted that my money be returned. The guy at the warehouse told me how he could not refund my money because I had indeed purchased the bed and if I could "help him out"-what ever that meant. I told him I needed my money refunded because the receipt was a legal binding contract and no where on the paper listed in policies were lists of charges for cancellation and so forth and what he was doing was illegal.

I told him I would be willing to take merchandise that equaled the amount I put down and he refused. He then asked me to help him out again. He also told me if I could prove that I was going to my parents house out of town for treatment, he would refund my money. My parents called him-I am 37 years old by the way. Still no responce. My concern is that he refused to give me his last name, who owns this company or even to talk to me in a business like manner-he kept walking away and attending other customers and made me wait for 45 minutes while he came back and forth and kept telling me to help him out. He told me I was lying and he would not refund my money because I bought the bed.

Again, no where in the receipt does it state return fees, cancellation fees and so on. Beware. Do not by from this company-the guy in charge of the warehouse is a thief.
