I am following up to a complain that I left a year ago. I also contact the Better Business Bureau and they did contact Marlo. Marlo in turn tried to contact us 5 times. Ironically, it was over the 5 days we were on vacation.

The gentleman who called did not speak clearly and I was unable to decifer a complete name or number. I guess according to the BBB, 5 times must be the max attempts to contact the complaintant because we have not had anyone call again to try to rectify this situation.

Therefore, I guess Marlo wins another one! This company is bad news... Steer clear!

In February we bought a Berkline Living Room Set with heat and massage from Marlo Furniture in Alexandria. It took us months and many hours of shopping at all local and chain furniture stores to find what we desired. This was perfect for us so of course we bought right away. It was a bit out of our budget but we figured no matter where it is bought from, it is a "Berkline" so we should be good.

From day one, the delivery crew came in and placed the furniture where it fell and did not set it up at all. So that evening we set it up to find that the heat and massage did not work on one of the recliners. We immediately called in a service order.

First of all, calling in a service order with Marlo is a nightmare in its self. It takes on average 20-30 minutes to get someone on the phone and this is a long distance call for us. Once you have a 'live' person on the line, it does not get much better. A lot of times they will place you on hold for about 5 more minutes. Then, of you are lucky you will get a service appointment within 2 months.

Ok, so fast forward... After numerous service calls and visits, we still are with a nonfunctioning sofa that cost in the excess of $2,000. It has been this way for over a year and no one at Marlo seems to give a hoot one way or another.

I would just take their furniture and dump it on their doorstep if I did not think for a second that they would place right back on the showroom floor and sell it to some other sucker. I firmly believe from my experience that Marlo deals in second hand furniture somehow. I do not believe that what we bought was brand new.

I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and intend on filing a complaint with the Attorney General's Office. I have had it to the top with this worthless theifing company.
