Unbelievable that a large manufacturer could produce a product to last up to 20 years but produce no parts to repair it

I have a Jenn-Air dishwasher used a few times a month. It's around 10 years old. The last time i used it was around july 4

Tried to operate it this Thanksgiving and the control knob wouldn't move. Did some research about the issue and discovered that the timer was broken.

Went online to find parts and discovered that they are hard to find

Called the company and was told they don't make parts for this machine any more—what a rip-off. They don't make a part so you're forced to buy a new machine.

The only thing they didn't do was offer me salvage value for the rest of the machine so they could increase their inventory!

I would take a Jenn-Air unless it was free!!!
