American Theraputic Massage - ripoff

I purchased an American Massage Products Adjustable Massage Bed from the State Fair of Texas in October 03 for $4200.00 which was supposedly the sales price lowered from $7,000.00.

It was delivered in the middle of November 03. First it was delivered with a tear on the cover of the box springs. Right away my husband and I noticed it was hurting our backs each night right where the "split" is for it to raise up and be adjustable.

I called many times and complained and Mr. Westerfall never returned my phone calls. The girl who answered the phone finally admitted that many people had called to complain about that split and how it hurt their backs.

I finally spoke with Mr. Westerfall today, April 28. He said he stands by his product and that he found it hard to believe that his "secretary or girl ever said that to me". I told him I was not a liar. He told me that if I thought I was going to get my money back, it was not going to happen. It was like buying a car, if I don't like it, I can't take it back.

Ok, I understand but please don't purchase this product and let these people get away with this. This is my only forum other than the BBB. Next I will write to the better business bureau.

Also they stated to me that they conveniently have NO WARRANTY card for us listed even though I mailed them in in December 03.

I hope this will do something for those people and me who have bought a product that they feel is defective in some manner and have no recourse. Thank you
