Rent City - Lease Town
Rent City Lease Town lied to move merchandise. Rip-off!

I purchased a used refridgerator from this rental company outright. I purchased the appliance with the understanding it had been used in the store only and the missing parts would be replaced. One month after having the appliance my freezer quite working, I let that incident go chalking it up to the freezer just needing to be defrosted.

One month later it happened again, so they took the fridge in to be "looked at". Literally that's all they did was open the doors and look at it. So after being told yes it had been "looked at" Rent City brought it back to me, 2 weeks later all the food in my freezer thawed out again, I was accused of doing it on purpose in order to recieve a new fridge.

I contacted the owner of the store and he proceeded to tell me he would take care of the matter and call me right back. It has been 2 months and he has not returned my phone call. Mike the manager at this location told me to come choose between 2 fridge's, I could have the one I wanted. Well the two were mine, the one that doesn't work properly and then another repo that is probably big enough for a case of coke and leftovers from a resturaunt. I have asked for paperwork over and over and nothing. Mike has lied to me several time about the situation, saying this part is on order or this part is not replacable.

I would suggest never purchasing from this company, another incident I loved was when they lost my Money for payment, there deposit came up short, so I recieved a phonecall at my grandmothers home stating I had not made my payment. Thank god I had made a point to ask for a reciept, even though it was on the back of a notecard, I still had Mike's signature. Fortunatly I know my rights as a consumer, and they soon will have paper work in their hands for negligence.
