Does not adhere to their contractual agreements scam artists

Tues Dec 4 tenants reported heat not working. Took 2 days before technician could come and they were two hours late. Tech informed me furnace wired wrong, blower motor burnt out, and needed a new part... Would take 3-4 days to order parts.

An hour later Misty with American Home Shield (AHS) called to say the system needed maintenance and once maintenance was done it would run fine.

A completely different story than I was told by the technician. Upon calling Total Quality Services, the HVAC company used, they told me they had to go by AHS guidelines.

So that day (Thurs) I had it cleaned and called AHS back. They said I needed to provide them written proof of maintenance and it would be Tuesday before somebody could get back out there.

Adding up the time to get back out there, time to order parts, plus possible more runaround from AHS, I calculated my tenants with a small child might be without heat over two weeks.

NOT ACCEPTABLE!!! Two hours later and speaking with AHS Misty, authorization department, & Carl in complaint department kept getting the same no-sense explanation.

I paid for repairs myself and asked AHS to kick in a little $ just to help us both save time. They were not only stubborn, but Misty and Carl were arrogant and had sarcastic attitudes; Carl sneered at my sincere effort at a common sense solution to a ridiculous and dangerous situation.

The technician I hired to repair the furnace said it was wired wrong and would be a fire hazard and unsafe to operate. Small claims court, BBB, REMAX (whose agent sold me the warranty), office of consumer affairs, the internet, and anyone else (my brother was considering getting a warranty and I talked him out of it.) will hear about these scamming con artists.
