Bassett Furniture
Has the worst Customer Service, delivered dirty furniture, got order wrong, and caused property damage. Rip-off!

My husband and I ordered a Queen sleeper sofa, a Chair and a storage ottoman from Bassett Furniture in Lewisville, TX. All of it took 7 weeks to arrive and when it did - the legs on the sofa and chair did not match. No big deal right? WRONG. The storage ottoman was not wrapped before it left the distribution center, so when we got it - it was completely dirty. No big deal right? WRONG!

In order to get the new legs and the chair fixed, it will take "6 weeks" to replace. We also would have had to wait a week for them to send someone out to take pictures of the legs (since we just refused shipment of the ottoman completely, but did not currently have any living room furniture, so kept the chair and couch until the new legs "come in") Since we have a digital camera, we took our own photos of the mismatched chair legs.

I wondered why they needed proof because it states the two different finishes (maple & cherry) on the invoice we recieved with delivery. (But not the Order invoice we recieved after ordering. It, of course, was a coded numeric system with no discriptions whatsoever.)
The icing on the cake is the big hole the delivery men made in my hallway by shoving the doorknob into the sheetrock.

A great effort was made because there is harware on the door that prevents that sort of thing. Every time we have spoken with someone from the company, they denied responsibility and were either very unconcerned with our problems or actuallu got defensive and rude. Customer service is definatly not important when handling upset customers.

Overall, we would definatly advise against purchasing anything from Bassett and plan to spend the next $5000 on a bedroom set at ANY other furniture store in Dallas.
