US Inspect
Failed inspection

I recently purchased a home in Sterling, Va. And
contracted with US Inspect of Chantilly, Va. To do a home inspection.
US Inspects conducted the inspection and reported only a few minor
issues. Based on their inspection, my wife and I went to settlement in
May. After taking possession of the home we discover several major
structural and safety issues which US Inspect failed to detect. These
were not cosmetic issues but item which were in plain sight. Items
which will now cost me almost $5000.00 to rectify. The missed items
included the following:

A microwave oven located only 12 - 13 inches above the cooktop. A
violation of Loudoun County Code, manufacturers recommendations and a
fire safety issues. Approximate cost to remedy $ 400.00

A window sash with a large piece broken out of it.
